GER-MADIC PEST CO.

GER-MADIC PEST CO. Roach Treatment Worksheet

Without teamwork, roaches can be a difficult pest to control. We at GER-MADIC PEST CO. have prepared a checklist of things you need to do for our process to be the most successful. We have found that when our customers follow these guidelines, the treatments are more effective and achieve control of the infestation more quickly.
Please review this checklist and complete the pre-treatment steps in the order indicated. The property needs to be ready prior to your appointment time. If you will be unable to make the necessary preparations, please contact the office before the appointment so we can discuss rescheduling to a more suitable time. Thank you for your careful attention to these steps!

Preparations prior to technician arrival:
  1. Remove all kitchen items including: dishes, pots, pans, small appliances, utensils and food to another room. Cover items with a sheet or plastic.
Top of the refrigerator, drawers, counters, pantry, stove, sink, upper and lower cabinets must be free of all debris. Adhesive contact paper may remain, but any loose shelf liners should be cleaned and moved.
  1. Move large appliances 6 inches or more from the wall as technician must have unobstructed access to treatment areas.
  2. Vacuum and wash all areas with hot, soapy water prior to service. Give special attention to crevices in cabinets and drawers, behind appliances and along baseboards.
  3. Fix any water leaks technician noted during initial inspection.
  4. Remove all household members; including pets. Fish tanks may remain in the home; however we require that the tank be covered. Contact your local aquatic supplier for advice on your specific fish. GER-MADIC PEST CO. assumes no responsibilities for fish, birds, reptiles and exotic animals.
  5. Double check you have your house keys. Your GER-MADIC technician will lock the doors when they leave.
  6. Occupants should be able to re-enter the home within 2-4 hours. If you find the treated surfaces wet or odor offensive upon return: Ventilate thoroughly, open windows (weather permitting), turn on fans and leave house for two hours.

After treatment is complete:
  1. Vacuum any dead roaches you find on a daily basis.
  2. You may wash counters, cutting boards and stove tops.  For the most effective treatment, do not wash interior of shelves and drawers. All chemicals are considered safe for dishware once they are dry.
  3. Advise family members not to touch any installed baits or gels.

Maintaining a very clean and clutter free environment is crucial to long term roach control.  You may see some activity during the next two-three weeks. During this time the residual effect of the applied solutions are attacking new roach hatchlings. Some situations may require additional service. Please feel free to contact our office at 316-444-0003 if you have any further questions. Thank you for allowing
GER-MADIC PEST CO. to help you with this situation.
